My name is Ignas Bautrėnas.
I grew up in Lithuania, moved to United States in the year 2000 and have been residing in New York City ever since. I graduated from CUNY Hunter College in 2009 and have been working as a freelance journalist ever since.
I write in both languages I am fluent in - English and Lithuanian. I am starting this blog with hopes that it will soon become the representation of my work - interviews, reviews of art, music, film and literature, news reporting and any other writing of the sorts. I'll do my best to keep it up to date and post many interesting things to read for those who are interested.ENJOY!
P.S. ...Why "Amzinas Judesys"? Well, this is the name of a song by my favorite Lithuanian band FOJE. I chose this alias for two reasons. The obvious one is that I really like the song. However, "Amzinas Judesys" also translates to "Eternal Movement" and that summarizes the way I am - active, efficient, and most importantly curious. These are the qualities I value and take pride in.
